Welcome to a new edition of the Press Box Podcast! We’re already halfway through the regular season which means league play is set to begin. After breaking down the action from Week 5, we’ll analyze the league openers for the Tri-County Conference, Sacramento Valley League and Mid-Valley League. Hey, Great Job Again, good run down on last week and great look ahead to this week. I agree the YC vs. Inderkum match up is definitely the big game…..I know YC has put their schedule together to be ready for this match up and I know they will not leave anything in their tank and will leave it all on the field…good luck Honkers!!! RV vs. Pioneer is interesting as you mentioned as they both will get a test to see where they stand and it will go a long way to seeing if RV can make some noise in league play……Huskies will be in their homecoming week which is always tough as there always seem to be more going on than just the game, but thinking they can handle Winters….will have my phone charged so I can follow along on the web cast of all the games going on……Good Job guys, and good luck to all and stay healthy….

Huskies should blow out Winters tomorrow, not much of a game here.
Wheatland and L.P. is an interesting matchup, both teams have shown they can score on the ground and through the air.
Who the heck has Wheatland played? 3 winless teams for 3 of their wins.

I agree that Wheatland had some easy wins against some bad teams, but they do have a win over a pretty darn good Lincoln team. Wheatland is well coached and I think they will win again tonight as well.

I too hope that MHS can get their first win tonight. I hope your pick was just because you want to see them win. I no Mesa Verde has only one win this year (that is 1 win more than MHS). That one win for Mesa was against Mira Loma who came into War Memorial Stadium and shut out the Indians 35 to 0. Mesa’s losses have come against some pretty good teams; El Camino, Bella Vista, Colfax, and Lincoln. I do hope you are correct in your prediction however. Best of luck to your Huskies tonight.
